This is the Philadelphia Phillies 1939-1941 fitted road hat, made by American Needle. Cap features embroidered front design, six panel design with cloth headband, lower crown, curved visor, wool blend material, and fitted sizing. The Phillies wore this style cap on the road, from 1939 through 1941. While the team was awful at the time, they had some great names: Spud Davis, Boom-Boom Beck, Jennings Poindexter, and two infielders named Pinky (Whitney and May) were on the roster.Select your cap size under the size drop-down menu. If you do not know your size: Determine where you want to wear your hat. Usually it is worn about an inch above the eyebrows and/or just above the ears. Have a friend hold the tape measure (cloth or plastic) at the point where you want the hat to rest on your head. Insert the tip of your little finger between the tape and your head. Record the measurement. This should provide you with a comfortable fit. |
